MICRODERMABRASION
FAQs
-
1. Avoid Sun Exposure (7 Days Prior)
Sunburned or tanned skin is a no-go. Microdermabrasion works best on calm, non-inflamed skin.
2. Stop Retinoids + Exfoliants (3-5 Days Prior)
Discontinue use of:
Retin-A, tretinoin, adapalene
Glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide
Harsh scrubs or exfoliating devices
Why? We don’t want overly sensitized skin.
3. Skip Waxing or Laser Treatments (7 Days Prior)
Freshly waxed or lasered skin is more prone to irritation. Wait it out for safety.
4. Hydrate + Stay Moisturized
Well-hydrated skin responds better to exfoliation. Drink water and keep your skincare simple: gentle cleanser + moisturizer.
5. Inform Us of Any Skin Conditions
Let your esthetician know if you have:
Active acne or rosacea flare-ups
Cold sores (we can advise on antiviral pretreatment)
History of keloid scarring
6. Come With Clean Skin
No makeup, sunscreen, or heavy skincare products on the day of your appointment. Your skin should be bare and ready.
Pro Tip:
Be ready to commit to sun protection post-treatment. Your freshly revealed skin will love (and require) SPF.
-
Microdermabrasion is the ultimate “lunch break treatment.”
You can literally walk out glowing and go straight back to work or life. What to Expect:
Mild redness or a flushed look for a few hours (think: post-workout glow)
Slight skin tightness or dryness for 1–2 days
No peeling, no bruising, no hiding
The Golden Rule:
Your fresh skin will be extra sensitive to sun and harsh products for about 48 hours. SPF is non-negotiable.
In short? It’s low-maintenance with high reward.

Using a medical-grade diamond-tip wand (or fine crystals), we gently but powerfully exfoliate your skin.
Expect a mild scratching sensation + light vacuum suction as dead skin cells are whisked away. It’s weirdly satisfying.
3. Zero Pain, All Gain
You may feel light tugging or warmth, but there’s no pain. Most clients describe it as a deep-cleaning facial with attitude.
4. Hydration + Protection
Post-exfoliation, your skin gets:
Soothing hydration serums
Targeted nutrients
Broad-spectrum SPF
You’ll leave with a baby-soft, radiant glow and zero downtime.
